Fine Altomis set to win Racing UK Sky 432 Handicap
The Michael Dods-trained bay gelding, Fine Altomis, is all set to deliver winning performance at Hamilton racecourse where he will run in the Racing UK Sky 432 Handicap on Tuesday, July 3. The Class 5 contest over 1 mile and 65 yards will begin at 3:30 (GMT).
In a bid to add £3,235 to his career earning, the three-year-old young and momentous horse will have to compete against half a dozen strong rivals.
The maverick runner’s record on soft grounds has always been impressive. It is hoped that he will repeat the same class today.
The son of Lomitas out of Mi Anna is 6-4 best-priced with William Hill and Racing Post has rated him the highest with 77 points.
Fine Altomis has won 2 of his total 7 starts so far. Both of his triumphs came during the last two months. On May 21, the talented horse marvellously won Yorkshire Racing Summer Festival 21st – 29th July Handicap (Div II) over 1 mile
and 2 furlongs at Redcar. He was 2-1 favourite for that event.
The Aston House Stud-bred horse stepped forward to finish first in the Investec Weal Th & Investment Edinburgh Handicap over 1 mile at Musselburgh. He was again 2-1 favourite for the race that took place on June 29.
Fine Altomis started his career on July 16, 2011. At the moment, the entire situation is quite favourable for the gelding to add another classic conquest to his portfolio. It is up to him how well he executes his skills in today’s marathon.
The only runner who can be a trouble for the hot favourite gelding is King Of Paradise who elegantly notched up top spot in the Book Now For Saints & Sinners Night Handicap over 1 mile and ½ furlong at Hamilton on June 13, 2012.
Prior to this, the talented son of Hurricane Run out of Silly Game had gained 4th position against 13 rivals in a big event at Ripon on May 20.
Thus, an awe-inspiring clash is expected today. Fine Altomis will have to pass through many twists and turns in order to thrive. Good luck to all the seven sprinters.
