  1. Coffee is one of my favourite subjects. Coffee has a long life after it has been opened. Here are a few ways to help keep it fresher longer. Get a coffee container, one with with a seal and a hasp lock. some people like to put their coffee in the refrigerator to help keep it fresh. I hope that this helps you. Enjoy you cup-o-joe... :-)

  2. Ground coffee beans are pretty stable and will last a long time. That is because the caffeine is actually poison to insects. Coffee flavors, on the other hand, oxidize quickly and easily, so within a few days after opening a can, just about all of the flavor will be gone and when you brew it the taste will be pretty insipid.

The only way to get a fresh aroma, full flavored, cup of coffee is by using freshly roasted, freshly ground, and freshly brewed gourmet beans.

I get mine delivered every month, and I clean the grinder and coffee maker every day. My morning coffee tastes so good that I take a thermos with me. In a month I spend less money on better coffee than I would for two cups of Charbucks.

  3. Just to be safe, take a small spoonful and make yourself a small cup of coffee. If you don't fall sick, it means it's safe.
