Finepix A401 help

Question

Hi,i have a finepix A401,ive had it from new and not used it very much.I went to take photos at my mums last weekend and ive found it will not take pictures and when i went to close it off,it will not move and i have to open and close it to catch the close down funtion.The battery holds a full charge and is in working order.Can my problem be fixed with anyones advice here or will i need to put it in for repair?Regards
