I was stationed in germany with my husband, and i was in a car with people who took pot over the boarder (from netherlands to germany) and we got pulled over and we all got fines mailed to us, im in the states now, but i plan on flying back over there once my husband gets down with being in iraq, if and when i fly back over there, will that fine show up like through customs or on my plane ticket or anything if i don't pay it???

  1. It's not such big an offence that it would show up on a plane ticket. But they might know about it at customs, which not only means that they'll be checking you thoroughly, but you'll also have to pay your fine right on spot. So you'd rather pay it now: They do charge interest, so the fine won't get less. Just take it for the most expensive pot in your life...

(btw, may I know how much it was? The fine, I mean. You can send me mail if you like.)

  2. Hi

    What Alwin said is correct.

I just want to add that the laws differ from Region to Region in Germany and some areas it is TOTALLY illegal and in others they have odd laws where you can possess up to 4 grams but cannot buy, sell or grow it, meaning you have to some how get it there from Amsterdam or some how. Once there you would be ok if caught with it.

Other areas you will get a fine as you did. NOW you Have ONE chance to fight it only and that is to take it and appeal it as I did a bus violation once and explain you did not understand the laws and rules for it from Netherlands to Germany and they MAY show leniency but I would rather expect you will have to pay the fine as Alwin said but that is it.

I am fortunate to live in a State where we have a registry for medicinal use but I do not know if that card registry is good outside of my state!!

Best bet is to call and find out and try to pay the fine before you go or see if you can straighten it out before you go again.

First question, did you have it on you too or just your friends? If you did not have it ON you then you can definately fight it, but if you did have it on you then probably best to just pay the fine.

One side step you COULD try and that is land in another part of EU and drive to Germany nearby where their is no border patrol and your not wanted for any violations in that nation and maybe you can go there and avoid most of it until you get their and then can deal with it first hand? Just another though.

    Viel Glueck!!
