Does anyone have any good finger food ideas for a childs birthday party. I am looking for easy, quick ideas, that both adults and children would like, with a St. Patty's Day twist. All recipes would be greatly appreciated.

  1. mint shakes, green m&m's

  2. You could use a loaf of round Focaccia bread sliced in half and topped with pizza toppings. Bake on a pizza pan or cookie sheet at about 450-500 until cheese is melted. For a St. Patricks day twist you could try using a green Wilton food coloring to dye the cheese green before putting it on. Other ideas Lime Jello Jigglers, Lime Koolaid, of course cupcakes with green frosting maybe serve green/lime sherbert.

    EDIT

Tinting the cheese may work out better if your used pre-shredded mozzarella. I'm not sure. I've colored a lot of things but cheese is one that I haven't tried. I don't see why it wouldn't work though. Just put the amount of cheese you plan to use into a ziplock bag or a bowl and mix the green color into it until it's well coated. Just a note if you use WIlton coloring for this you may want to put a bag over your hand when you start to spread the cheese otherwise it may not just be the pizza that comes out green! Sometimes it doesn't wash off easily when you the color itself on your skin.

    EDIT

Ok I hate to tell somebody to try something if I haven't done it myself so.... I tried it using pre-shredded Fiesta Blend. If you use the pre-shredded cheese and the Wilton color it will dye your cheese green. You end up with a two tone almost marbled look when its melted.

  3. green Jello jigglers, cut with a shamrock cookie cutter

    guacamole (it's green) and chips

This isn't for St. Patrick's Day, but I cut cheese into cubes, and put a little pretzel stick into each one (like a toothpick).  Kids love to pick them up and eat them

dried wasabi peas (not for the kids though - too hot - but green)

  4. Make egg salad and pbj sandwiches but use cookie cutters in diffrent shapes to take off the crusts. So cute. Also you can make mini cupcakes if you buy a mini cupcake pan. Or bake the cupcakes in ice cream cones. You can make mini hamburgers and cut out the buns using a round cookie cutter.

Very popular right now are sweet potato fries placed in paper cones.

    mini corn dogs,

    mini tri tip sandwiches.

  5. chicken fingers

    green pudding cups

    green dyed french fries

    cupcakes green
