Finger food ideas?

Going to one of those silly jewelry parties tomorrow night. Looking for some fresh finger food ideas-relatively easy to make (I don't have a whole lot of time to devote, last minute thing) that are still good enough to bring to your hostess. Thanks!

  1. Cut up seasonal fruit and arrange on a platter....mix a tub of light sour cream with three passionfruit and serve as a dip yummy and healthy!!!!

  2. Get some Rice Paper Roll Wrappers, Asian section of supermarket, (or in ours anyway) or Chinese Grocer, dip in warm water to soften then fill with finely shredded crisp veggies, and 1 small prawn cut in half long ways in each, a bit of cilantro or fresh mint, or vegies and a piece of finely sliced chicken breast cooked in Asian flavours, like ginger soy sauce and garlic, google a recipe, too easy, light soy sauce for dipping.  They will be so impressed! No cooking unless you do the chicken, buy cooked prawns/shrimp.

  3. Fun colored toothpicks and a fruit bowl does well....

  4. bruschetta is relatively easy!

You need a French baguette, cherry tomatoes, garlic, fresh basil, olive oil, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.

    Chop the tomatoes (about 15)

crush one small clove of garlic

chop up about 8 basil leaves

mix them all together with a spoon, and add  a teaspoon of olive oil

add salt and pepa to taste.

grate some Parmesan cheese into the mixture, and mix more.

    meanwhile

slice up your bread and place onto baking sheet

toast until crisp (not burned, just crisp)

spoon tomato mixture onto each piece of bread and serve

    Yummmmmm

  5. Those little strawberry torts.  Sort of angel food cake pockets with strawberry preserves spooned into the middle.

Quick, easy , and very yummy

  6. Easy and yummy - Sausage Balls.

Mix Bisquick, Shredded Chedder Cheese and Ground Sausage together. Roll into balls and bake until brown.

Served warm or cold, they are ALWAYS a hit!

  7. Perhaps sushi? If not wagon wheel sandwiches. Just get 3 pieces of bread and cut off the crusts. Then spread whatever filling that you like on them and press on the sides with your knife so that the bread pieces sort of "stick" together. Then roll it up nicely in plastic wrap. Chill in the fridge for an hour or two before taking off the plastic wrap and slicing it like cross-sectionally.

  8. But a loaf of pumpernickel bread, make sandwiches with cream cheese and cucumbers.  Cut off crust and then cut into fours to make very petite sandwiches.  Easy and YUMMY!
