Question:

Finger looks weird after taking off bandaid?

I have been wearing a bandaid on my finger for about a day. When I took it off today the skin on my finger that was covered was all wrinkley(like if you swim for too long and your finger gets pruney.), It was also all white and pale. Is this normal? Is there something wrong or should I just let it be?

  1. I know exactly what you mean and I'm almost 100% positive it's completely normal. That's happened to me several times right after I've taken off a bandaid and it should go away within a few hours or at most a day. I think it's just because your finger gets sweaty while the bandaid is on it, and because it's a bandaid, it keeps sweat and other liquid contained, therefore keeping the sweat on your finger and making it look like you've just come out of the shower.

  2. LOL of course, that happens every time I put a band aid on. Wait 10 minutes and its gone. It's just cause a band aid holds the moisture in and it gets under your skin and its likr pruned like when you take a bath.

  3. That is totally normal. Don't worry.

  4. That is completely normal. Nothing to worry about, The oxidents in the band-aid take the moisture out of your finger when trying to clean the cut/wound. Hope this helps!
