Finger nail polish remover and wasp...?

i was told somewhere that finger nail polish remover in a bucket with cotton balls outside prevents wasp from coming around your house.......is this true......

  1. i dont really think this is true but it is worth a try. Try it for like about 2 weeks and if it works they well yeah. Make it a little science project. if you do it plz e-mail me and tell me what happens so i can try it too

  2. im not sure, but its very possible, acetone is a pretty strong odor, however, i think it would evaporate pretty fast wouldnt it?

  3. I've not heard that one before. It might work but is not likely to work for long. Acetone is what most finger nail polish remover is made of.   Be aware that Acetone is very dangerous for several reasons as follows:

    1) Acetone is quickly absorbed though the skin and is know to cause kidney damage.

    2) Acetone is 50 times more flammable than Gasoline.

    3) Acetone evaporates very rapidly.
