I'm just wondering, if you had fingerprints on something, and it was left in the rain, would the fingerprints get washed away? Thanks

  1. I would think so. because it would be like cleaning it.

  2. It depends on the surface.  Things like knifes often have textured surfaces which might hold the print even after rain.  The forensic scientists will probably try to get a print either way and it is quite possible they will find one.  Rain doesn't necessarily wash away the oils from the fingers, it could take wiping it and wetting it to get the fingerprint off.

  3. I'm not sure but u can test it. Put a finger print on a window or some other glass so that u can see it and the run water over it.
