Finger prints-how to legally get them?

How can i get a legal copy of my finger prints for the purpose of open a business. The NYPD claims the don't know what I should do or where to go

You are BORN with fingerprints.

Just use an ink pad and paper.

Uh....you carry them with you, at least I do.

If the law requires you to be finger printed for a business license then the issuing office would be able to tell you where to get it done.  Give the licensing office a call.
