Question:

Fingernail Polish Chips Off Quickly, But Not On My Toes?

Whenever I paint my fingernails, the polish is either really chipped or completely gone by the end of the day. I put clear top and base coats before I do the color, but they still chip. However, when I do my toes, that lasts for weeks, sometimes months! Why is this, and is there a way I can make the color last longer?

  1. Buy non-chip nail polish

  2. Well i think it is because of the fact we use our fingers so much! So with our toes we dont use it as much so they can stay on longer.

    Good Luck!

  3. All I can say is I understand!  This is so frustrating.  I just got my fingers and toes done last week and at the end of the first day I had chipped my fingernails.  I don't know how to solve it.  I think we just use our hands much more.  Toes are usually protected in shoes.  Here's what I have started doing though and at least it saves me some money.  I will get a manicure and then just go in about once a week for a color change.  That only costs $5 and they will re-do the polish.  I only actually get manicures anymore about once every two or three months.  Hope that helps.
