Fingernail polish remover turned my nails orange?

My question is why? Allergic reaction or something?

it probally wasn't your nail polish remover more like your nail polish its self. my gram always lectures me about how i always have my nails painted even if it is a clear she says my nails are going to turn orange. i asked her why and she said b/c your nails need to breath. i know that sounds weird but it's true. i took her advice and didn't wear nail polish for a while and after a few days my nails were back to normal.

no,  usually this is residual stain from dark colored nail polish.  To remove use a 3 sided buffer (the one with the dark grey, light grey and white sides) start with dark grey, rub onto nail- removes the stain then use the light grey to smooth it then the white side to improve circulation to the nail and make it shiny-do this for each nail, and going forward either change your dark colored polish more frequently giving nails a break for 1-2 days in between dark polish or alternate dark polish one week and a light color the next.
