Finish my tale?

Alex was so enjoyed to meet his pen friend at the village railway station near Byle St James, they had been pen pals for over 40 years and never taken the plunge before to meet.

Alex was nervously excited and as he awaited the arrival of his pen friend he waved happily to the passengers travelling on the trains that passed through the quant station.

"My heart is a filled with joy as the hanging baskets are filled with flowers.." he uttered to himself.... " I cannot wait.."

What happened next............?

He woke uo and it was a dream, even worse he realised he was still an orphaned bear made to dance for tourists in Goa, india!

The train was yet to arrive within the next 20 minutes.  Alex busied himself by humming his favorite tune.  It was an extremely cold January and the wind was making a howling sound throughout the arrival area.

Alas, the train had pulled into the station, and Alex watched as the passengers were existing the doorways.  There was so many people leaving the train that he was finding it hard to be watchful for his friend.

Then all of a sudden, he saw his pen pal.  They embraced and walked off the platform happily chatting about what the two would like to do.  At this point Alex never felt happier and more content in meeting his friend.  The end.

As the last group of passengers disembarked, his heart started to sink, he just knew in his heart that she had backed out at the last minute.

but then . . . . there she was, last off the train and without even asking her name, their eyes met and they knew.

All the letters they had exchanged, all the thoughts, all the idle dreams, there they were, she looked more lovely and her smile was more radiant then he had ever dared dream.

They shook hands tentatively, exchanged some small pleasantries but then tenderly, very gingerly he placed his hand on her waist, she turned toward him, smelling like an a acre of roses and they embraced, it was like being embraced by the welcoming rays of the moring sun after a long night, she was in his heart from that moment on.

The station staff asked for his ticket which he lost on the train, British Transport Police where called, found he had a load of dope on him as he had a crazed glazed look at the rotting rubbish in the rafters which he thought was flowers and was fined £2000 for fare evasion and another load of community service for the drugs.

However as the people filed passed him and eventually disappeared onto the streets outside, Alex's heart began to sink.

"Maybe he changed his mind and decided not to come?" he thought whilst letting out a long sigh.

He turned around to leave the station when a hand tapped him on the shoulder.

"Alex?" said a deep voice.

He turned to look into the face of a man with very familiar features.

It was like looking into a mirror.

As Alex's face drained of colour the mirror face spoke again.

"I think we'd better get you a cup of tea.  I have a secret to tell you.  Some of which you may have already figured out"

It turns out James had been adopted at birth and Alex' mum had never told him he had an identical twin.
