Finish the story.?

Question

A man sent God a letter and said it would be nice to have his job for just a little while. He meant to type, "It would be nice to be God." but was typing so fast, he accidentally typed, "Dog". and without noticing it, sent it off.

God knew what he meant....

Tell me what happens next.

So God said, "Look, OK, you can have the powers for five minutes, but if it doesn't pass St. Peter's Heavenly spell-checker, the powers don't work."

So the guy, he's a bit greedy and thinks he's so smart. Very carefully, he types, "I want a gold-mine in the backyard." He double checks it, and triple checks it, and he uses up 2 minutes. But, he looks out the back door, and there's a gold mine in the backyard where his birdhouse used to be. And there's a nice confirmation on his screen: Gold mine Granted.

Then he types, "I want live foreevr." But he's typing a little faster now, so he messes it up. It doesn't pass the spell-check, and it takes two more minutes to send it and get the confirmation back. "Spelling Error."

So, now he's got less than a minute left, and he's worried, but he figures he'll pull the old genie trick, and types, "I want to be God for the rest of my life." Only, of course, he mistypes it as "Dog."

And boom, he's a dog. He lives a good life as a dog, and as you know, all good dogs go to heaven. He gets up there and says, "God, why didn't St. Peter's Heavenly Spell-checker catch that?"

"My son, you spelled everything right, that's why. I knew what you meant, but the machine thought you wanted to be a dog."
