I'm assuming by "blasphemy" you mean being disrespectful to God, in the case of Christians.

It's blasphemy when...

- You say that you have found the Truth, and stop using the gifts of intelligence, curiosity and the intellect you have, "because you don't need to look any further".

- You claim Salvation, and take that as your cue to cease behaving in a Christ-like manner.

- You claim the Bible is the inerrant word of God, yet you read from an abridged edition.

- You follow God's commandments as they suit you, not as God intended them.

- You bear false witness against those whose opinions differ from your own, then complain that you are persecuted for your Beliefs, when challenged for your behavior.

- You claim that the Old Testament has been superseded by the New Testament (The New Covenant), and is no longer used by Christians, yet you refer to one sentence in one book of the Old Testament as the basis, and justification, for the prejudicial treatment of a minority group.

I don't really think I need to go on.

The comments above are based on the observations I have made of people who claim to be adherents of the Christian Faith, here in R&S and are not intended as a comment on the wider Christian community.

Your answer depends totally on which religous text you are reading at the time.  The Bible?  Then blasphemy is denying Yahweh is the one true god, and Jesus is his son.  THe Torah?  That Yahweh is the one true god.  The Koran?  That Yahweh is the one true god, Jesus was NOT his sone, and that Mohammed was his last prophet.

So a Christian describing his views will blaspheme against both Juidaism and Islam.  Likewise for the others.
