Finished Harry Potter. What next?

I am almost finished the last book of Harry Potter. I'v been reading HP for 2 years but it seems longer. I have become such a big fan and I am really sad its almost over. I really need some recommendations for some good books or series. I know a lot of people read the Twilight series, but I don't know if I would be into the vampires and stuff. Is it good for an HP reader? Please help! Thanks! :]

  1. read more books from jk rowling. there i one like behind hogwarts lol its called "the tales of beedle bard" try twilight. its with the guy from harry potter "cedric diggory".

  2. I'm not sure about the Twilight thing, I am debating if I should read it too, but here are some books I liked:

    Eragon & Eldest

Septimus Heap (it is a series)

His Dark Materials (you know, the Golden Compass)

    Artemis Fowl

    The City of Ember

    Charlie Bone

    Vampirates

Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo & Leven Thumps and the Whispered Secret

Percy Jackson and the Olympians (series)

    Dragon Rider

    Inkheart and Inkspell

    The Sisters Grimm (series)

  3. i luv the harry potter series and believe the twilight series are completely addicting!!! the last book, Breaking Dawn is a bit different but they're still great...

    hope this helps!

  4. i always liked the Charile bone series

  5. I think you would be pretty disappointed going from Harry Potter to Twilight.  Apart from the content, JK Rowling is a better writer than Stephanie Meyers, and thematic and creative depth of Harry Potter just isn't there in the Twilight books.  I would suggest the His Dark Materials trilogy if someone hasn't already (The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass) by Philip Pullman.

  6. NO TWILIGHT! Don't go there.

Have you read the Lord of the Rings Trilogy? If not, I would highly suggest that. Tolkien's style is a bit more refined perhaps, but all three books are highly entertaining and very good reads. LOTR is certainly up there with Harry Potter.

  7. TWILIGHT IS SOOOOO GOOD!

I was hesitant about the vampire thing but in the first book it is mostly about their romance and it is just sooo good

ive known a lot of guys who have read them and loved the vampire stuff and a bunch of girls (including myself) who love the romance stuff

plus movie comes out in december

  8. I would read Eragon. It has to do with magic too and it has just as much conflict and a teenage main character. I love both sooo much, and you should give it a shot. Oh, it also has dragons in it
