Finished our homework assignment and were curious as to what others would say.You are stranded for an unknown?

period of time. You are only allowed 7 items that can fit in a shoebox.What would you pick? Knife, lighter,mirror,fishing line, solar blanket,water.Itis not easy. There are no wrong answers but lots of possibilities with only 7 items.

I guess it would depend on where I'm stranded.  On the moon? middle of the Ocean? a  Desert?

Let's go with a plane crash in the Canadian Rockies:

lighter

hatchet

fishing line

cooking pot

flare gun

radio

gps

The first two should give me all I need to build a shelter and start a fire.

The fishing line could be used to help with the shelter, and create snares / traps

The pot could be used to melt snow into water, or cook something if I'm lucky enought to catch anything.

The last three are there to get help to me
