  1. go to estonia ))

finland is dark eight months of the year and the people are really rude there!!

  2. I lived in Estonia for eight months and it is SO much nicer than Finland.  For one it's about one third the price of staying in Finland and Tallinn is a really pretty in the old town.

The best time to go would be during their annual music festival where they have open air concerts and bands from all over.

if you can speak any Estonian at all it is by far a great place to go to.

I was in Finland for a couple of days and everything is modern and boring.  I also spent about $15 a day just on metro fares.  In Estonia, you buy something called a Kubilet for about $10 and it's good for a whole month on any of the trains there.

There are good beaches close to Tallinn and there is also Kadriorg park with a russian estate there.  I remember taking pedal boats somewhere too.

The place to go when I was there was the EestliTaal bar and restaurant.  Good food with an outdoor bar and great live music most nights.

To get there you usually have to stop over in Finland and hop over to Estonia.  Ask what the cab fare should be though and negotiate price before you get into a cab.

The Old Town has lots to see with castles and cafe everywhere.

Bring home Kalev chocolates, leather goods, dresses.

You can also take the Hovercraft over to Finland for a day trip.

  3. I would say Finland. It's a great experience, beautiful scenery. But like always, it depends to what place you go to, in Finland and Estonia.

  4. i always wanted to go to Finland myself, read each Wikipedia article and immediately decide afterward for a clearer decision.

  5. Why not to visit both?? Namely, there are many ferries and superfast catamarans sailing between Finland & Estonia all the time, so it should not be a problem for you at all to make it double!

  6. They're both beautiful, but I would recommand Finland

  7. If you wanna experience a country close to being third world then Estonia.

Finland othervise, but yeah, Estonia is h**l of a cheap, that's the place where we Finns buy our liquors ;)!

If you wanna meet Estonians you can do it in Finland, they have invaded our country to work here cos their salaries suck at their own country, haha.

And btw, Tallinn isn't that great as the one guy says, you'll have experienced the whole Tallinn in less than 6 hours walking. Finland has many more interesting cities than Estonians have inhabitants.
