Is it possible that since the U.S. has its own education system, being as horrible is it, allow home schoolers to use another countries education system? I'm 16 and i do horrible in a normal school in the U.S. as among others, so i wanted to do home schooling and i got a little better. But i read about Finland having the worlds top students and was wondering if the U.S. would allow Finlands education system in home schooling. I saw that the teachers customized the students work on there level of performance, and the don't stay in stuffy class rooms they do work where they want. And also that relating math to real life DISencourages students to do well, where the Fins don't relate it but they do extremely well in math. they start school at 7 years old, 2 years later than America, and leave at 19 years old. They also have shorter class time. So would the U.S. ok another countries education, or no because they think that the already crappy one we have is best?

  1. As long as you comply with the laws of your state: http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/regi... you can use any educational method you want.

Most homeschoolers use the educational system that works best for their kids, regardless of the government currriculum.  If the Finnish system works for you, go for it!

    All the best.
