I love fishing but I am impatient and my family all like to sit around for hours with a worm on a hook waiting... I like using lures but know little about them. I just wanna catch fish dont care how big. I would prefer to catch bass but many bass lures are meant to only catch trophy bass which dont inhabit the ponds I fish at. What lures will catch many bass and the occasional large perch or bluegill? Also would a 6 inch plastic worm or lizard catch anything other than a very large bass? most bass i have caught have been 1 lb or less (occasionally 2-3)

  1. Worms will ALWAYS prevail and catch fish. God for you not wanting to sit around, get lazy, fat, and just bobber fish...How boring!

I fish tourneys and love Chatterfrogs (emerald color), Spinnerbaits, Tubes, and Crankbaits. There are many out there, but worms still prevail and catch lunkers.

Young, small, fast ones usually run for the crankbaits, and fast moving lures. Slow 'em down sometime and see if you snag a lunker.

Get yourself a small portable tackle box, light rod and reel, and walk around the banks, learning to tie and re-tie various lures quickly on that rod.

Too many rods is best reserved for a boat, not the banks, so get one you like the most. The new 60 dollar Wal-Mart special of the Abu Garcia Black Max baitcaster combo is very versatile, if you use baitcasters.

Good luck and good fishing! I have had some feisty fat bluegills just kill a white chatterbait, with chartreuse trailer. :D

  2. try some small topwater or spinners

    then maybe a plastic worm

  3. well i was fishing to day and i was using a inline spinner made by blue fox and i caught 5lb bass i was very surprised but it catches crappie, bass, any type of sun fish or perch i am telling you this is my top choice it always catches fish walmart sells them and bass pro most tackle shops sell them   http://bluefox.com/products/flash_spinne... i sugest the shad color

  4. Worms will work the best try A Texas Rig or A Carolina Rig theses will be your most productive.

  5. Try some rattle traps, rooster tails, beetle spins, shallow running crank baits like the Mann's Baby 1- ,and

artificial worms. They also make realistic looking shad and perch baits that are a soft plastic body on a jig head that work well.

  6. well first off yes it might catch a crappie or a large perch.....but the lure i would use is like a Beetle Spin or plastic worm on a spinner. if you don't know what that is click the link below.

(scroll down until you see Beetle Spin) but any on that page should work.

    hope i helped you out!
