Fintans Freddie looking good for A2 500m Flat at Nottingham
Fintans Freddie looks in solid position to outpace his rivals in a 500 metres flat heat, taking place at Nottingham on Monday, April 16, 2012.
It is an important race for all contestants, as they will look to start their week on a winning note. The plan is to kick off proceedings at 19:16 GMT.
The Grade A2 event holds a cash price of £124, which will be given to the best performer. Among the confirmed entries are: Fintans Freddie, Drifting Home, Salacres King, Cant Be Tamed, Monagea Fantasy and Spaceman Lee.
Fintans Freddie is coming into this race after pursuing a classy success earlier this month. The blue dog sealed the top place by a neck’s distance in a similar race last week.
He remained unlucky in his second last appearance, missing the first position by two and a half lengths. A. Stevens’ trainee has been performing consistently over the last few weeks, but victories are not coming to his way regularly.
Today’s race is an ideal chance for him to display another fine performance. However, it would not be an easy trip for him, as there are many dangerous runners in the line-up.
Drifting Home is also full of spirit after a decent performance last time out. The black dog’s tradition of getting inconsistent might prevent the punters from staking their money on him, however, he is worth considering.
On April 10, the black dog missed the top spot by three and a quarter lengths. P. White’s trainee registered his last triumph on March 13th, when he secured the top place by four and a half lengths.
Salacres King also looks one of the medal prospects. The blue and brindle dog has been out of form over the past few months. Yet, one cannot afford to take him lightly.
It would not be an easy trip for Monagea Fantasy, who is out of rhythm these days. Similarly, Spaceman Lee is going to find it difficult to produce a winning performance.
Fintans Freddie is most likely to exhibit a dominating performance. However, Drifting Home would give him a hard time on the track. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
