Was this an accurate portrayal of the effects of a man downloading illegal images, allegedly?

Did the FBI do the right thing by setting up an entrapment site and passing the names of Brits to the Met?

  1. Big T must have some 'inside knowledge' about this - maybe he's a police officer?  For me (in my ignorance) it was totally believable and absolutely compelling.  Brilliant acting by both the leads and an eye opener as to the unexpected emotions that may be aroused in such a situation, for instance Simon making Fiona feel bad about breaking up the family when for the previous 5 years he had been downloading child p**n.  Full marks for a brilliant, if uncomfortable, storyline.

  2. Well, let's see.

If one starts at the beginning, the timing of the arrival of the Police might be right, in the early hours of the morning, but after that it all goes wrong.

Their arrival would have been by way of battering down of the front door and immediate search for his computers, so that he wouldn't have had any opportunity to smash the hard drives.

As to the rest of it, there might be some truth in that couple's responses to the crisis, but I lost interest as soon as that Police entry was so badly fudged.

A pity, because I've enjoyed everything else I've seen Gina McKee in.

As to the entrapment thing, yes, the FBI were right. Child pornography is child abuse, and the viewing of those images is a part of that abuse.
