Fiorentina boss Mihajlovic all praise for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Cassano-c6302 and hoping to sign the player this summer
Fiorentina boss, Sinisa Mihajlovic, has admitted that he would love to sign A.C Milan striker, Antonio Cassano, this summer.
Cassano has been linked with an exit from Milan because of lack of playing time guaranteed to him at the club. The striker desperately wants to prove his worth to the Italian national team manager, Cesare Prandelli, before the
Euro 2012.
Several clubs are interested in signing the former Sampdoria star but Milan manager, Massimiliano Allegri, counts him as an important member of his plans next season. Cassano is concerned with the amount of options available in
the squad, as he is reportedly fourth in the pecking order behind http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robinho-c31382.
The striker has had several attitude problems in the past and Mihajlovic believes that it is natural for every top class player to have such issues. The Viola boss is keen to sign the former Real Madrid striker this summer and
believes that he can be a handy addition to the squad.
Talking to the reporters Mihajlovic said, “He’s a great player. If he has the right motivation and he gets it in his head that he has to train hard then he would be of use to any side. It might not be very easy to manage him, but
I would have no problem with that as it’s the same with all great players.”
The former A.S http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 striker has also refused to sign an extension to his Milan contract and he will monitor his situation at the club before deciding to extend the deal. The striker might be on his way out of the club in the next
January transfer window if he does not get sufficient playing time at San Siro.
Milan are interested in signing Fiorentina midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Riccardo-Montolivo-c31049, and Mihajlovic will be looking to take advantage of the situation and use him as a make-weight in a deal for the striker.
Cassano joined the Rossoneri in the January transfer window of last season after falling out with Sampdoria President, Riccardo Garrone.
