There has been widespread interest in the Viola attacking player; however, the Artemio Franchi outfit have stated that they will not be parting ways with the striker.
Fiorentina have had one of the most active transfer windows of 2011-12, and ever since the appointment of Daniele Prade and Vincenzo Montella, they seem set to embark on a very promising project.

star, which deterred Juventus from landing their target.
There was even bigger interest from Manchester City, and several reports suggested that the clubs had agreed a fee over the player. However, the sporting director of Fiorentina has gone on to categorically state that their prized asset in not available for
sale.
Vincenzo Montella has stated his keenness on keeping hold of the player, and has often said that he is looking to build the team around him. After dismissing rumours of Jo Jo’s move to another club, Daniele Prade, La Viola’s sporting director, has remarked
that they will also be hunting for a new striker, to work alongside the club’s promising youngster.
He remarked that the club was looking challenge at the highest level and that meant keeping their talent with the club. He further remarked on Jovetic’s future by stating:
“Stevan Jovetic is off the market and Fiorentina will sign a new striker. Our President set the foundations for this new team by being very clear on Jovetic – he is off the market. He will not be sold.”
The Della Valle family has invested a lot in the project introduced by Prade and Montella, and have put a lot of faith in their abilities. and sees himself in a much supportive surrounding (at least for the time being).
Fiorentina open their season with a match against Udinese, which will be a big test for Montella and his charges.
