The Italian national backed his former employers that they will be the team to beat in the upcoming season and has touted the Florence outfit to shine on for 2012-13.
Emiliano Mondonico believes that Fiorentina would do extremely well in the upcoming campaign. La Viola have endured terrible times according to their standards in the past couple of seasons; however, Mondonico is of the opinion that Vincenzo Montella would
be able to guide them back to the path of success.
Fiorentina have been extremely busy in the transfer market ever since the appointment of their sporting director and their head coach. Daniele Prade has been appointed as the sporting director; whereas Vincenzo Montella has signed up as the club manager.
Montella has an extremely impressive track record to his name after successful stints at Roma and then Catania. Fiorentina parted ways with the eccentric Delio Rossi, who was embroiled in quite a lot of squabbles with his players and the media, and Fiorentina
felt that he failed to exude the right image of the club.
The club has been very active in the transfer window and even though they have sold a few key players in the transfer window they have kept a grip of the core they want to develop the team with and have also kept hold of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stevan-Jovetic-c34163, till now at least.
Mondonico went on to state his opinion that AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 and La Viola would do well in the upcoming season, and remarked:
“The club have moved well on the market. Along with Roma, they could be one of the surprises of the new championship.”
He also went on to talk about the activities of the top clubs in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926, and remarked that they have not done themselves any favours in selling their top players off to other clubs. He pointed AC Milan and Internazionale specifically and remarked that they
have not got cover for the loss in quality. He further went on to state:
“I believe that because sides such as Milan and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 have done little on the market, selling their best players in the process.”
Milan have parted ways with Ibrahimovic and Silva and have failed to bring in an adequate replacement for them.
