The Viola director has declared that they are taking their attacking starlet off the market in order to give their fans a better team to support in the upcoming season.
Gianfranco Teotino has voiced Fiorentina’s decision to keep hold of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stevan-Jovetic-c34163, and has stressed that the club will do everything to make the attacking midfielder stay for another season.
The Montenegrin international has been strongly linked with a move from Juventus, and it was expected that the budding star will be sold to the Italian giants for a lucrative sum.
Teotino admitted that Jovetic is attracted to take an exit to one of the top clubs, but stressed that it will be mutually beneficial for the club and the player to extend their relationship by at least an year.
The Viola chief went on to reveal that the Florence outfit is gearing up to get back into UEFA Champions League, and stated that the services of Jovetic will greatly help in that regard.
Moreover, the Gigliati director was also adamant that another year with the club will also help the attacker’s career.
While talking to the press, the Fiorentina communications director said:
“Jovetic will stay with us next season and the new team will be built around him to entertain the public. Is he tempted to leave? There have always been temptations because he is a great champion and it is normal that he wants to play on the big stage. We
want to bring Champions League football back to La Viola with him, but also for his career he would certainly do well to stay another year with us.”
Teotino went on to stress that there is a positive environment at the club with the new coach, and insisted that the outfit must look to capitalize the energy for a great season in their next year.
The Fiorentina executive was all praise for Vincenzo Montella, and insisted that it is up to the club to convince Jovetic to stay for another year and propel the outfit back to its former glory.
