The Brazilian-born striker has not had the best of times in his career of late, and is hopeful that his luck would turn around in the near future.
Amauri has witnessed a downslide in his career after a frustrating time at Juventus since the start of the season.
The striker did not feature for Juve since Antonio Conte’s appointment as the manager of the Old Lady. Fiorentina rescued the former Parma striker from Turin, as they signed him on loan in the January transfer window for remainder
of the season.
The 31-year-old had a successful loan stint with Parma last season, scoring 7 goals in the 11 matches. However, the Crociati did not reward Amauri for his goal scoring endeavours, and sent him back to Turin at the end of the season.
The Italian international has put his past behind him, and is excited about playing and scoring for the Florence side. The striker said “every night I dream of my first goal in a Viola jersey.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Amauri-c5381 also had a disagreement with Juventus officials over his contract, but talking about his move to the Fiorentina side, the former Parma striker said:
“Since the moment I arrived in Florence, every night I dream of my first goal in a Viola jersey. I aim to repeat with Fiorentina the good work I did last year at Parma. I want to win over the Fiorentina fans so I can earn myself
a contract renewal.”
The former Palermo star is in the twilight of his career, and he would be looking for a change in fortune and retire on a positive note. Amauri is hungry for action, and admits that it was excruciatingly difficult to not be able
to play football for the past six months.
In the same interview, Amauri told Sky Sport Italia:
“I’m ready to give my all, as it was so hard being unable to play for six months.”
The powerful striker is hopeful that his switch to the Viola outfit is fruitful, and is determined to make most of the opportunity.
