Fire bellied toads?

ok i have 1 european fired bellied toad i want 2 more toads since my european one looks a little lonely should i get 2 green ones or 2 earopean ones or will it really matter i want my earopean fire bellied to be happier i have a ten gallon tank so i can only have 3

  1. for those above and the asker it does matter. its mainly a bacterial thing but also the skin toxins a slightly different and if one has a bad reaction it may die. as for the bacterial these species developed in different geological location meaning they had to evolve to be resistant to different things and minght be harmed by the bacteria carried by the other species. i would only keep one species of fire belly toad (bombina) together for the safety of the others. remember to quarantine the new toads for 1-3 months before introducing them into the existing tank.

    Oh and btw toads don’t get lonely.

  3. I don't think it will matter as long as they all eat the same things and require the same things in their habitat :)

    just be careful, you might end up havin babies !

    (which isn't a bad thing if you want them)
