Fire extinguisher question!?

Our fire extinguisher is in our laundry closet which is in our kitchen and it says its needs to be recharged. Where would I get this done and how can i find out how much it costs?

Most likely it would be the cheapest to go and buy a new one. Small extinguishers aren't usually recharged.

Just look in the yellow pages under fire extinguisher. You will find a place.

New extinguishers are starting at 10 dollars at Walmart.

I've spoken with guys who recharge extinguishers and they say the ones with the plastic heads aren't worth recharging but ones with the metal heads are.  I think the plastic ones are more subject to leak down.  Later.

If you are speaking of one of the small 5, or 10 pound extinguishers, just go to Home Depot or Lowes. They are not that expensive. It would cost more to have that one recharged, if it is possible to even do so.
