Fired for violation of sexual harassment policy?

I got fired for talking to the guy who was being harassed by a women at work kidding him about the situation a few comments were overheard now why cant she be fired for the same when the boss was told about her advances towards himby another employee and he was told to shut up ,that would have been her second offense in 2 years Iwas never warned verbally or written up in 16 years

  1. The reason you were fired and she wasn't is because she's probably sleeping with the boss.

    For you being fired, you can contest this.  Look in your employee manual about who to contest this to.


  2. ok the woman who made the comments is still working and the guy, she was making the comments about, is still working but you, who voiced his opinion, was fired, means only one thing. they were looking for a way to get rid of you and found it.

  3. Most states are at-will states.  Thus, your employer does not have to give you any warnings or reason why you were fired.  Since you did not provide the state this happened in, it is hard to say.

    What were the "comments" that were overheard?

    EDIT:

    I am only assuming, but I do not think it was what you said, but I think it was because a COMPANY phone was used for NON business.
