I installed firefox on my laptop, which has Vista. It crashes every ten minutes or so, and it drives me crazy. Any idea how to fix it?

  1. try upgrading your firefox to the new version 3.0.1

  2. I've installed Firefox 3.0.1 on a few Vista computers - no problems other than the memory leak.  Not a single crash.  Something else must be wrong there.  Have you run a virus scan and a spyware scan?

  3. Mozilla and Microsoft...the ever eternal browser battle.  Try uninstalling and reinstalling, OR update FF to FF3 (  www.mozilla.com/firefox/    ).  If you've recently had a Windows update or service pack install, it may have affected this.

You may also want to look into disabling your extensions one by one...one of these extensions may be the culprit:

    AdBlock Plus

    Download Statusbar

    DownThemAll!

    FlashGot

    PDF Download

    Stumbleupon
