Firefox vs internet explorer?

why do some people prefer firefox over internet explorer? what are some of the advantages and disadvantages of using both?

Firefox is easily tweak-able. That gives it so much credit, let alone the amount of plugins and extensions there are to be used by it.

I find it more of a user-friendly browser which makes it my fav.

Here we go again...everyone is gonna say "Firefox." I say that Internet Explorer is better. I know that a lot of people are going to give me thumbs down, but I don't care it is my opinion and it's not like Firefox can hear it and decide to die or something. firefox its going more faster , you can install lots of plugins and is more secure. IE just sucks :)

Firefox is simply faster.  Try them both and time each while accessing between web pages.

My typical time to download is nearly twice as fast when using Firefox.

firefox will give you more control and flexibility doing your browsing, IE will give you a standard way to access in virtually all windows computers

after doing some browsing with both you will realize how superior is Firefox.

firefox loads the web sites faster,much faster than I.E....and i find it easier to switch among the tabs...
