Firewall on frostwire and limewire?

okay, so i had limewire for the longest time, and all of a sudden a firewall stops my connection, and so i unistalled and tried to reninstall but it wouldn't let me. so then i decided to download frostwire, it download but frostwire has a firewall too, and i've googled and everything, and i turned of the firewall but still nothing. please help;

  1. It's not frostwire or limewire that has the firewall.  Windows XP has a firewall built in, if you are using XP then you need to allow limewire to get through.  The firewall settings can be accessed via control panel.  If you have a router it may also have a firewall which you may have to configure.  Consult the manual for your router on this one (out of the scope for this answer).  

    If at work, it's probably not going to happen.


  2. Uninstall frostwire and install again then Unblock Windows firewall before open Windows firewall   put (Automatic)
