Fireworks Canberra on 15th March 2008?

Hey what's so special. For no reason there was fireworks at Canberra on 15th March 2008. Well if you know why there was fireworks plz tell me??

Skyfire  (that's the fireworks display) is held annually in March in conjunction with the Canberra Day public holiday celebrations

The fireworks that were on last night on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin at Regatta Point which where provided by the local Canberra commerical radio station FM 104.7 which hosts a party each year called Skyfire and they have been doing this for 20 years as this year's event was called Skyfire20.

Skyfire.  It's been going for 20 years.  A local commercial radio station promote it.

More of a family and booner thing.
