First Bid bidding to finish first in June Handicap
First Bid is zealous to complete his fabulous hat-trick by finishing first in the Book For Family Day 3rd June Handicap (Betfair Sprint Flat Series Qualifier), a Class 5 contest that will be held today, May 22.
On the Nottingham track of 6 furlongs and 15 yards, the James Given-trained bay colt will compete against 14 competitors that include Relentless Harry, Khubala, Little China, Star City, Knight Vision, Conowen, Sanad, Travis County, Available, Dancheur, Man
Of My Word, Molly Jones, Dora’s Sister and First Fast Now.
First Bid is carrying a lot of winning momentum right now. The three-year-old veteran runner excellently bagged a mega victory each on May 4 and 11, 2012. These epic feats have boosted up the victor’s morale greatly.
Earlier, the Peter Swann-owned runner grabbed a third each in February, March and April. He also earned a runner-up position in February.
Overall, the brilliant son of Kyllachy out of Toucantini has won 3 of his total 16 starts so far. Currently, he looks to be in a position to make a big impact in the June Handicap.
First Bid is expected to sustain his winning impetus and claim top position today for the sake of £3,235.
Among the colt’s rivals, Khubala and Available are strong enough and each one of the duo can impede First Bid in the race.
Khubala seems to be in good form at the moment. The trainee of Ed Dunlop started his career in October 2011 and managed to break his maiden on April 14, 2012. The novice bay colt finished 4th against 6 contestants in his last start on May 1.
On the other hand, Available has just one triumph to her name. The John Mackie-trained bay filly has run for 7 times to date. She excellently finished as a runner-up in her last outing on April 19.
There is no denying the fact that each one of this duo can impede First Bid who will have to employ an offensive strategy to shell out the pressure of his opponents. The race will be amazing to watch. Let us go for the fantastic action.
