First Class Postal Stamps?

I'm not sure how much they're worth because I got them from my friend's dad. But I'm mailing maybe 7-8 papers of letters from CA to IL. It's not heavy but I'm just worried. Because I heard that the stamps has raise to 41 cents now.If I put two of the first class stamps, would that be okay? And I need to mail it ASAP, so I really don't have time to go to the post office to weigh it.

Ten pieces of paper and a 4 x 7 envelope on my postal scale comes to a bit under 2 oz. Use two stamps and it should be fine.
