First Day Of School Sucked, Will It Get Better?

Question

OK, So I just started 7th grade, but we're grouped with high school. Our school is grades 7-12. Here are the things that went wrong:

Definately not used to waking up 45 minutes before I did last year

I can't remember how many times I got lost, I stopped counting after 10.

These older kids wouldn't stop messing with me, it was really annoying

I didn't understand how the whole lunch thing works

And now I'm really pissed about going back tomorrow cause I know it's gonna suck in advance. I mean, at least Monday night, I thought I had something to look forward too! But now I just know that it's gonna be awful. Will it ever get better?

Most of the problem that you are having I had when i went into year 7

- I had to be up an hour earlier so that i could catch the bus

- I was innocently walking down the corridor when the bell went and i was crushed by a big bunch of year 12's

- We had a split lunch depending on what side of the school you were on and i didn't have a clue how that worked but i just asked the teachers what lunch i would be on if i had whatever lesson.

- I was picked on a bit because my coat wasn't the RIGHT one!

I cried for days after i started at my new school - but i can assure you it will get better. If your day was as bad as you say it was it cant get much worse right? I'm not sure how your school in america ( i'm guessing your american) differs from our schools in wales but whatever the differences i'm sure you'll be fine! Of course it will!

You can't expect yourself to not get lost on the first day. After a couple days you will get used to the school.

If you are tired from waking up 45 mins earlier, try going to bed 45 mins earlier.

You'll end up making a lot of friends and having a lot of fun - and by a lot of fun I mean the most fun you can have while at school...

Each day gets better cause you know it a little better.  keep at it and it'll be great really soon. And don't worry about the older kids, they'll stop soon.  You'll become familiar with lunch and your way around quick, so don't worry and just try to have a good time in the mean time.

stick with freinds

smile and be confident

look nice

pay attention

and ur set

Next week, it will be MUCH better, because you will know where you are going, you will have gotten the hang of lunch, and you won't have that "help me, I'm a lost 7th grader" look that just invites a certain breed of upperclassman to pound on you.

its a new school you get used to it and learn the school and lunch thing and they'll stop messing with you eventually maybe you'll be friends or they'll drop out
