  1. My daughter started kindergarten today and she LOVED it. We kept things really exciting and positive for her so I think that helped. There were no tears and she can't wait until tomorrow :)

  2. My 6 and 7 y/o's started school today.  My 7 y/o girl LOVES school and excels at it.  My 6y/o boy, not so much.  He didn't want to go (1st grade), he doesn't think he's smart enough.  He was fine once he got there, but he still says he doesn't like it and doesn't want to go back.  I am hoping he'll find his niche!

  3. My son started Kindergarten today. He was fine with me leaving but I felt horrible. I managed to hold myself together until he was out of sight and then I cried all day lol. He came home with a big unexplained bump/bruise on his head. And his shorts were falling off because one of the buttons apparently went missing sometime during the day. We're off to a bit of a rocky start, I guess. He wants to go back tomorrow though so I guess it wasn't that bad!

  4. My oldest daughter started junior high (seventh grade) last week.  She was so excited about the changing classes, the expanded lunch menu, and the opportunities for more clubs/sports/activities.  She has liked it much better than elementary.  My second daughter went into fourth grade.  Not much change there being at the same school.  She has always loved learning and is doing fine.

My baby boy started kindergarten yesterday.  He hates it.  He has a mood disorder, has severe anxiety even without change, and social anxiety as well.  He hates being in the cafeteria with 150 other kids to eat lunch.  He got accomodated with a 504 plan that gives him a 1:1 aide along with more.  He is on a SPED bus van instead of a regular bus.  My heart wishes that he could be happy.  Yesterday and today he begged me to not make him go, to pick him up early.  I hope he adjusts soon.

  5. My daughters started school today.  My oldest is in 7th grade and was very excited about going back to school.  She missed seeing her friends everyday.  My youngest  is in 4th grade (who is actually  more outgoing) wasn't all that excited but I think it is because she has more friends that live by us.  Also she was worried that none of her friends would be in her class at school.  After the first day though, they both had a great time and are looking forward to going back tomorrow.

  6. Yes they started 3rd grade, and 6th grade. They couldn't wait, but now that has past and its back to waking up sick LOL.

  7. Today was my oldest son's first day of kindergarten.  He cried so hard and clung to my legs. His teacher had to come pull him from me and told me to just leave.  Then I cried so hard.  Took me a few hours to get it together, then it was time to go pick him up.  He was happy when I got there.  Tomorrow I will put him on the bus for the first time.  I hope he goes on without a fit.  I  am not sure what to do if he is hysterical about riding the bus!!!

  8. I'm in my sophomore year of high school. Started last wednesday. I was NOT looking forward to it. My dad's a Colonel in the USAF and he's been moving us around constantly (me, my dad and little sister Grace-our mom's dead) so it was another new school for me. The newest is now in Ohio and I just kept grumbling repeatedly for a long time.

Grace started Kind. last week and she was scared because I was always grumbling. Me and dad took her in on the first day and she cried for two hours according to her teacher. Once she started playing, she loved it and couldn't wait to go back the next day.

When I went in my first day, a girl immediately spoke to me and we became great friends and she introduced me to a whole bunch of her friends.

My brother Jack left high school 10 years ago, then went to USAF Academy, then flight school and now he works Special Forces. I wasn't nearly old enough to know how he felt about high school but I know he loved the Academy and flight school.

So yeah, overall me and Grace are both very happy in school!

I hope your kids have a great time too!
