First Holy Communion Meal?

I want to do a buffet style meal for my Son's First Holy Communion, but am stuck as to what to include in it. Was thinking salads with Turkey and Beef but being a child's day it won't go down too well and I really would prefer not to do hot food. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!

  1. Stick with the salad for the grown up's.

Ask your son what he would like as it's his special day.

My god son had a selection of cheeses as he his cheese mad.

    Best wishes.

  2. Sausage, cheese and crackers are always good if you don't want something hot.  Add a veggie tray and some fruit: grapes and strawberries.

  3. At my church we just do finger foods or brunch meals like little mini quiches and sausage balls. What does the child like? if its pizza make a little mini pizza roll or bite that could be served at room temperature and pieces of cake. Get a tray of nuggets from somewhere or a tray of wings and veggies and dip. More than likely the kids usually want to play and won't really eat anyway, the food ends up being gobbled up by the adults.
