First Homecoming Dress?

Question

So my first homecoming is this September, and I need to find a dress really soon. From what I've heard, everyone is wearing a black,navy,or dark green dress above the knee.

But I want to stand out, so I was thinking more of a red, yellow or something you can't help but notice.I like the length though, I don't want a floor gown. Also, I don't want it to be tacky, just noticeable. So what my question is can you help me find a dress? I've looking at Delia's, forever 21 and places like that but nothing really appealed to me. I have blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. Thanks for you help!!!!!
