First In Command likely to prevail in Don´t Miss Jubilee Saturday 2nd June Handicap
First In Command is tipped to win the Don´t Miss Jubilee Saturday 2nd June Handicap at Catterick in England on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. The winner of the class-5 event will be awarded a cash prize of £2,386 in the end.
The going will be good to soft in the 5 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 20:40 GMT, and a total of 11 runners have lined up for action. Their names are as follows: Ever Roses, Diamond Blue, Prince James, Lucky Dan, First In Command, On
The High Tops, Nomoreblondes, No Mean Trick, Cross Of Lorraine, Kyzer Chief and Ingenti.
However, the participation of Kyzer Chief is doubtful, which means that only 10 entries have been confirmed. The seven-year-old gelding was one of the least expected runners to do well in the race, as he does not have a good strike rate. He has entered
42 events until now, winning just a couple of them.
At the moment, the bookmakers believe that the title will go to First In Command, who is an experienced campaigner and has been doing a good job over the past few events. The punters will also be encouraged to place a lot of bets in his favour today.
The seven-year-old gelding has participated in 50 events until now, winning six of them and finishing runner up on the same number of times. In addition to that, he has also secured four third place finishes, which shows that he consistently fights
for the top positions.
The Daniel Mark Loughnane’s trainee has performed brilliantly in recent times, winning his previous three races. This goes onto show the kind of form he is in at the moment. He was brilliant in all those races and has a solid chance of scoring another
victory today.
It will be difficult for the rest of the runners to match the speed and skills of First In Command, who will be partnered by Shane Kelly. The seasoned jockey has managed to win quite a few races, but there is a big question mark over his consistency.
He needs to improve his overall strike rate in order to attract more bets in the future.
On the other hand, Diamond Blue might also attract a few bets in her favour. She has entered four races until now, winning one of them and her recent form is also not bad, which suggests that she will give a tough time to her opponents.
