First Season of Dexter?

Question

So I just started watching Dexter from Season 2. I was wondering a couple things.

1 - Does Season 1 tell you what happened to his Step Dad Harry?

2 - Was Harry a killer too?

3 - Who was Dexter's real Dad?

4 - Is that his real sister? I ask because he was only found with his brother in the murder scene of his Mom. And his bro tried to marry his sister..I missed all that, but it didn't make sense.

5 - Anything big I should know from Season 1 would be appreciated

2. harry wasnt a killer. he was a police officer who knew of dex's problems and tried to help him. also helped dex channel his murdering energy towards bad people rather than good/innocent.

3. dont know dexter's real dad

4. adoptive sister - not blood-related

1. Harry died (in the past not during season 1) of cancer I think.

2. No Harry wasn't a killer, he was a cop. He trained Dexter to use his killing desire into criminals

3. We don't know about his dad only about his bio mom

4. Deb isn't his bio sister, she is the real daughter  of the Morgan family.

5. In season 1 he finds out where his killing instict comes from. He watched his mother being killed and left with her body for few days (3 I think) in her blood, when he was 3 or something. He also discovers that he has bio brother who has the same passion> He is the ice truck killer wanted by the Miami police. In the end he kills him and saves his sister.

Oh I love that show! So good but gross at the same. All of your questions kind of get answered as the show goes on. No Harry was not a killer, just a cop. And his sister is his adopted sister, Harry's bio daughter. Nothing huge comes out in season 1. I dont' want to ruin it for you but if you watch the show through season 3 (where it left off) most but not all of your questions are answered. I don't remember them talking about Dexter's bio dad but more is revealed about his mom and when she was killed. Also it shows what happened to Harry when he went to the hospital and how he died. Hope that helped a little. I caught up by watching the season 3 on netflix!
