Me and my hubby have been married a year, I am out of a job and on a limited budget. I know the traditional one year is something paper, what would be some good ideas that are not so bank breaking...

  1. With not a lot of cash you can do a simple love letter expressing your devotion to him and how you have grown over the last year.  There are also some inexpensive bubble baths and oils that you can get to give a romantic feel to the evening.  Remember it is not about the gift but what you put into it.

  2. write sexual favors on pieces of paper that he can use throughout the year when he so desires. then give him a bj. you will stay married forever.

  3. Well we didn't get real traditional on our 1st anniversary.  But we did take that top layer of our cake out of the freezer and fed each other a bite.  Then we went to dinner and came home and went to bed early! xox

  4. A paper airplane of the airline that you went on your honeymoon.

  5. write him a letter and get him to do the same - don't read them and put then into a box and hid them away in the roof!

    next year read them

  6. try to get away from home.. maybe do somethin special.. together.. that shoudltn cost to much money.. plan a dinner maybe.. invite friends to celebrate.. wat the heck give him a lapdance.. lol.. wateva it is.. try to make somethin u both enjoy.. and im happy u made it this far.. best wishes to the both of you in ur relationship

  7. 365 reasons you love him?(written on paper of course) also maybe a nice candlelit dinner(his favorites)

  8. Traditional is paper and modern is clock or watch.  If you have time to make a scrapbook with pics of your times together that would be one paper item.  If he likes to read, books or magazines and a card or a sincere loving letter included.  This paper thing requires lots of imagination!  The modern approach might be easier.  Either way, he will probably appreciate whatever you do.  OOH..cook him a good meal and serve it on paper plates and use paper cups in addition to whatever else you decide to do.  Good luck.

  9. Make him a dvd, with picutes from when you started dating until now, and put your wedding song, and if needed other songs that represent you two.  Also put a poem at the end

  10. How bout write out how much you love him on paper. list all the things you have enjoyed abou the first year with him as husband and wife.

On our first year I was out of a job, I applied to my wife for a job, it was fun, we both laughed about it, she even interviewed me.

  11. A nice journal, complete with a nice pen

A big, big box stuffed with... crumpled paper?

It'd be a laugh at least. Especially if there was an actual gift buried somewhere in there.

Engraved stationary is a nice gift

    Books he likes

Origami and a guide on how to make it

An ad or something that you place in the announcements of the newspaper with like pictures of your wedding and maybe a poem?

    A homemade coupon book

    Something made of papier mache

Tickets to a sporting event or show

Plane tickets to a romantic destination

Or if you guys have a house, how about an apple tree, the symbol of love [which technically is paper]

  12. Make a scrapook of your first year together. You can print off cheap pics at www.snapfish.com and it would be really cute. You don't have to spend a lot of money on it either. Or if you want to get even cheaper, do a powerpoint scrapbook of your first year.

  13. well on my 1st anniversery... my wife.. simply let me sleep in ... and then took me to eat ... and the did some dances and what not for me ... lol.... i oculdnt have asked for more

  14. On our first anniversary we were totally broke. I made him his favorite dinner and lit candles and wore something s**y for him. I let him play his games while I set up :)

Then we watched one of our favorite movies. It was simple and romantic, and not tooooo cheesy.

We had both agreed before hand not to get any real gifts for eachother, its not the gifts that count anyway. :)
