Hi,

I have just passed my driving test :D

I need a car, and am not sure what would be better, a small car eg Ford Fiesta, or a larger car, like an Ford Escort. Both have must have max 1.3 engines for insurance. Would the 1.3 Escort be undepowerd? But the bigger, heavier car be safer? Any advice please.

  1. The Ford Fiesta is junk. You'll have nothing but problems with that car (former owner back in 1991). The Escort has been an easy car to fix and it's been on the market alot longer than the Fiesta. So that should give you a hint that it's a better car. Otherwise Ford would of gotten rid of it. It's really not that much bigger. Not enough to really make any kind of a difference and yes, it's safer. I would rather get hit while in an Escort than in a Fiesta. Just change the exhaust and intake to get more "HP" cheaply. Go Escort!! Not Fiesta!!

  2. Don't buy a ford all you will have is problems, try finding an 90's Accord, Maxima, or Camry, or corolla

  3. Never call an Escort a Larger car.  That is embarrassing
