First car celica?????????

Question

im thinking of saving money for a celica. i was wondering if this car is any good? and how is it in the snow? and if their is a better car maybe same style (2 door coupes) that would be better and around the same price.

im getting my licence soon s this would be my first car

TOYOTA MAKES A GREAT CAR WE HAD A CELICA THAT WENT 250K MILES GOT GREAT GAS MILEAGE ALSO. WE LIVE IN FLORIDA SO I CANT HELP YOU WITH THE SNOW ISSUE.GOOD LUCK!

My first car was a Celica.  My "Buy American" aunt rode in it once and immediately traded her Buick for a Camry.

what is ur range of money?

if u are looking between 15k-20k, then i recommend scion tc, or 2009 corolla s or le. ( I have 19k 2009 corolla le and its pretty decent for a college student.) if you are looking 1k-15k, then i would recommend toyota, or honda based used cars, for they tend to last longer than american autos and are reliable.

i would prefer a nissan 350z beter but the celica is good to i would a lso go with a mitsubishi lancer 9

Buying a Toyota is a good decision, even with 100,000 or more miles, as long as it has been taken care of.  Even a Toyota will wear out without maintenance.

The Celica is very sporty.  Because of this, you may have to pay a LOT more $$$ for insurance because it gets stolen more than the not-so-sporty 2-door sedans.

Also, Celica's tend to have a higher resale value than other sedans, so you will pay more to own one.

A basic Corolla can look real nice, costs less and will probably need less maintenance than a sporty car.  And, the Chevrolet Prism is a Toyota Corolla, almost literally, but it costs less because it doesn't have the Toyota name.

You can save a lot of money on insurance if you start with an older car and do not need to carry collision insurance.  Regardless, try not to finance your first car.  My daughter fianaced hers for five years, and five years is a LONG time to a young adult!
