First car?! jeep or jetta?

im 16 and im about to get a car the choice is either a vw jetta or a jeep grand cherokee. what do u think is the best!

First time drivers usually have much higher rates than others. And it depends from car.

Cherokee is very expensive to insure.

Think about it...a jetta will save you a bunch of money on gas. You need to keep the car in check. Maintenance is key. sure the jeep might be flashier and nicer looking to some, but trust me go with the jetta.

* fuel economy

* active safety - easier to avoid things (better handling and brakes)

Grand Cherokee. Volkswagens have all kind of engine problems

neither one is very good for reliability or resale value. try to find a Honda or Toyota, both of the car brands are easy to repair and keep a good resale value
