First car what to buy?

Question

I'm turning 16 soon and I have around $30,000-$35,000 to spend, I want a car that is sporty and fast with some decent handling as I will want to take it to the track for some autocross racing, I was thinking of the 2007 Mustang GT, only restrictions are that the car must be 2007 or earlier and cannot have over 325hp. All opinions are welcome and accepted!

You can't even get a Corvette for 35,000 unless it's used.

That sucks about the working on cars part. But it's one of the coolest looking cars you'll find. Plus a HUGE fan base and several websites to get parts for it.

How about a Saab 9-3 Turbo X. The 9-3 is the safest car on the road, boasts 280hp, leaps from 0-60 in 5.7 Seconds and standard AWD. Not to mention this cars exclusivity; Saab is only bringing maybe a thousand into the US.

Besides, the Nissan looks cheesy and outdated. What is with the vertical door handles? May have looked cool five years ago, but not now. Plus, with that boisterous rear wing, visibility is drastically reduced.

stay away from ford period, have been sucking hind t*t for quite some time. Expensive and difficult to upgrade, the new mustangs blow out back glass.  try charger hemi, mustang won't hold a candle to it. I'm a GM fan waiting for new camero.....foreign, expensive to buy and upgrade, yeah charger/hemi but its 340hp......can maybe tune down to 325 hp

I love Acuras && I also am turning sixteen soon.  I think you should get an Acura TL.. 2005 - 2007 are pretty much the same.. Very fast v6 && four doors for room. I think you should do research. ... look on youtube for 2005-2007 tl's or even tl type s.. a faster acura tl. hope i could help.

How in the world did you get that 30 k and 16 yrs old. If it was investing, please tell me how.

Back to the subject, get a pontiac gto. (04-06)

They have the corvette 5.7 liter from about 2000, and perform very well, you can trick them out, there were only a couple thousand made so it will be a car that makes heads turn.

Tune it and you will still have 10 grand left over for some vacations.

At the track, it does well, but definately not as well as a vette, but better than a stang.

well first off i'm jealous.... im in the same position just less money, and i happen to be a big car enthusiast so its sucks!

I say no to mustang, i see alot of old women driving them.  It could easily be your moms car. and everyone has them.  

Get a used bmw M3, i dont know what the hp is on that one but they are hot!

or a mercedes, a fast one of course!- everyone will be jelous.

or the Nissan 350Z, its been said to be a great.. fast.. car. 0-60 in 5.2 seconds

I'd get a used Porsche Boxster S or BMW 335i.  I like imports though; not a fan of muscle cars.
