First class mail?

this sounds dumb but do i just put it in the mail box and let the mailman take it? or do i have to take it to the post office??

If it's appropriately labeled, I'm sure it's just fine to drop it in the box.  I've done it.  Never heard that it's not legal, but there is a 13 oz rule for mailbox packages.  Nothing over 13 oz for security reasons...
