  1. You should not max it out.  Just use it occasionally at first until you become comfortable with credit.  Other wise you might become the next credit card victim.

  2. Always pay in full every month! Thats the best way to build credit. I've been doing that for 4 years and my credit score is 780. I find my credit cards at the following site because they have the best selection.

  3. CITI is good $1000.00 limit for student card

dont get in over your head, an easy way not to is to only use it for emergencies unless you plan to pay it off every month. but it doesnt hurt to carry a small balance...

  4. I would reccomend you don't go out and max out your card, because it will show you're not responsible with credit, and it will affect your credit.

  5. Maxing out your card is a bad idea.  Keep your balances low, and always pay more than the minimum payment.    I've read that you want to spend no more than 25% of your credit limit  to avoid a negative effect on your score. But using only 1% to 3% is good.

Build up a good savings account, so that you will use your card as little as possible.  Using credit cards can be habit forming if you're not careful.
