i can feel and hear the bubbles in her belly. her belly is so upset that when i lay her to nurse her she can't because she gets upset cause it hurts. she is a c section baby and i can still hear alot of mucus in her, which is normal. but it seems like it's whats blocking the burps from coming up. now she finally did pass some gas and seemed relieved for a little bit. but now it's interrupting eating. what should i do. i patted her back for almost an hour trying to get it out of her. now i have her in her swing sucking on her paci, hoping that will move things along. anything else??

  1. The nose sucker just takes boogers out of her nose. Not sure if that'd help. I'd actually call her doctor to find out what to do. You don't have to make an appt, just call and talk to one of the nurses. My baby was also a c-section baby and I didn't have any problems like that. I wish I could help, but the best and safest thing to do is to talk to a nurse or doctor so they are aware and can help you out more than anyone on here. Good Luck and Congratulations on the baby girl!

  2. First off, Congrats on your baby girl.  That's so awesome!!

It's normal to feel and hear the bubbles in her belly.  I have had good luck with my son which is now 5 weeks old, I bought this Battery operated nose sucker from Wal-mart which also plays tunes (Sounds crazy, but for 20 bucks it's the best thing I have bought besides clothes so far)  He is MUCH better now and can eat and sleepa lott easier.  I think you should really look into it.

I also have better luck when i put himstomache face down on my chest (head turned one way or the other) I rub from above his hips (on his back) up all the way to his neck one hand after the other for about 2-3 minutes, then I sit him up straight on my leg and he burps just like that it has worked since he was born it's great!! Hope this helps good luck sweetie

  3. i agree with the first comment..also you can try letting her have tummy time for a few mintues..the pressure helps them pass gas try laying her flat on her back on the floor on a blanket and go thrue the motions like you are going to change her (lifting her legs) when you lift her legs, press them against her tummy gently..that also applies pressure to the belly and sometimes releaves gas.sometimes a watm bath helps settle their tummys..if nothing works buy some gas drops (malicon, they have the generic also at walmart..both work the same) gas drops work wonders and they work fast.  other wise just keep doing what your doing..after you feed her be sure to burp her well...

  4. try laying her across your legs on her belly while your sitting down. the pressure on her belly should help!

  5. Try Mylicon Gas Drops! They work wonders! My daughter was born in May and had horrible gas problems and it was so hard to get her to burp! I had received some Mylicon Gas drops at my baby shower and they were a life saver! For about her 1st month, i gave her a dose before every bottle. They are completly safe for newborns! Be sure and get the NON STAINING formula! The pink original formula will stain clothes etc!
